Re: Best Software Applications?

I'm new to Rule #1 and investing in general. I've been using E*Trade's research tools which I think are pretty good for just presenting raw info on a company. As I've figure out, however, the stock screening tool is very bad.

I've seen everyone's suggestion about using MSN finance as a free tool, but I'm having some trouble finding the site for the custom stock screener. MSN's page (Stock Screener: Stock Search - MSN Money) has a very general stock screener, but with only a few screening choices--NET PROFIT MARGIN {high/low as possible}. I'm not finding anything resembling a truly customizable stock screener that can handle even the relatively straight forward parameters of Rule #1.

I'm thinking I'm just not looking at the right page. So what I'm really looking for is a little charity for the newbie. Can anyone point me to the home page of the MSN stock screener?

Thanks,

Boone
