Your favorite online auction website often has older copies of Excel (and MS Office) at very reasonable prices. I got Excel 2000 for about $30 (standalone Excel, not packaged with Office), but I'm extremely, er, frugal.
Hi,
I have MS Excel 2000 and get a message "Cannot locate the internet server." How did you solve this?

Thanks
Paul

Re: Margin of Safety Calculator for MSN Money

Are you connected to the Internet when you start the file?
Do you have the most recent copy of the file on your PC?
Does it ask you if you want to enable macros and autoupdate?

I use Excel 2000 and 2003 (home and office) and both work as advertised.

Jay

Re: Margin of Safety Calculator for MSN Money

First off, EXCELLENT TOOL! Thank You! However, in the cash cells It's not giving me FCF rather, Morningstar's cash from investing numbers. For instance in the 2006 cash cell (symbol MCD) it says -$1273.40, in '06 FCF was +$2599.60.

I have the same Q, and also phealey below. I searched for an answer to haddad2970 but found none.

Is there an options setting I need to look at in Excel? Would really like to get this running.

Are you connected to the Internet when you start the file? YES
Do you have the most recent copy of the file on your PC? YES
Does it ask you if you want to enable macros and autoupdate? YES & YES

I am using XP SP2 and Excel 2002 SP3

Re: Margin of Safety Calculator for MSN Money

Does any one here know if "Justin" the creator of the MOS calculator is still around? I noticed he hasn't posted since October of last year.

Re: Margin of Safety Calculator for MSN Money

Is it just me, or is the latest version of the calculator not accurately updating information lately?
