I just joined the boards. I don't know what the advfn103 auto sheet is. I am assuming it is an earlier version of the Automatic MOS Calculator spreadsheet.

If so, do you know where I can get it from? Even something with less functionality is better for now if it actually works. Can you post it here?

Sounds like you haven't installed the required add-in? I'm assuming you're talking about the advfn103 workbook?

Sorry, I thought you were replying to mchadek/jkruer's messages. Which automated MOS calculator did you download -- where did you get it?

You should be getting it from the first message in this thread. But, as far as I know, that won't return #NAME? ...

Before anyone can help out, we'll need to know at least:

-- Which workbook you're using
-- What operating system you're using
-- What version of EXCEL you're using

Any of those can make a difference in symptoms.

OK. I think you would get that result of you had the macros turned off when you opened the workbook. There is a function in the VBA code that is used in the workbook. If you turn off the macros, it can't find the function name and returns "#NAME?" instead.

I suspect either you have your security setting at "High", or you have it at "Medium" and answered "No Macros" when it prompted you upon the opening of the workbook.

Re: Automatic MOS Calculator & Watchlist for Microsoft Excel (Windows)

Greetings,

Love the website as I just found it quite a while after reading the book. I tried downloading the Excel MOS calculator but whenever I input a new stock i get the following: Runtime error 1004 - Unable to set the color index property of the interior class. Then it asks if I want to debug. Im using an ancient version of excel (1997) could this be the problem. Any help would be appreciated.
