Manual Entry MOS Calculator for Microsoft Excel

There have been several requests for a Margin of Safety Calculator without the web queries. This is a blank template for those who wish to manually enter the Big Five Raw Data (ROIC/Equity/EPS/Sales/Free Cash).

After you enter the Raw Data, the rest of the chart will populate including the charts and margin of safety.

I have left 1 web query on the spreadsheet that will bring back a description of the company behind the ticker symbol. If you prefer not to have this query you can easily delete it.

Hopefully this will help those who aren't able to use the fully automated versions of the spreadsheet.

Re: Margin of Safety Calculator for MSN Money (Excel Based // Manual Entry Required)

Justin -

I can't download the blank spreadsheet for some reason - my browser tells me the page cannot be found. Any thoughts?

Chris

That is strange, the link appears to be correct for me. I'll post the link again and this time try a "right click-save as".

Re: Margin of Safety Calculator for MSN Money (Excel Based // Manual Entry Required)

Thanks. What's even more strange is the second link works (both clicking on it and right clicking "Save as") while the first one still doesn't for me.

Twilight zone...

Many thanks,

Chri$

Re: Margin of Safety Calculator for MSN Money (Excel Based // Manual Entry Required)

Justin: Does the fact that I have the academic version of MS office (excel) cause all of the errors that come up after trying to download the automatic MOS calculator?
Thanks,
Quiet Bear

Re: Margin of Safety Calculator for MSN Money (Excel Based // Manual Entry Required)

Justin, The problem with the link is that when you click it it actually points to: http://www.roicommunity.com/../uploaded/blank.xls

instead of: http://www.roicommunity.com/uploaded/blank.xls

You need to remove the middle part of the link.

By the way thanks for the brilliant website! I'm trying this out but not applying directly to US stocks though, trying it on HK stocks. Will give everyone a shout with the results.

Re: Margin of Safety Calculator for MSN Money (Excel Based // Manual Entry Required)

I'm sorry guys but I can't find anything wrong with those links. They work for me and appear to be linked properly. Just the same, I replaced the links to confirm they are set up right.

Please let me know if you continue to have trouble.

Re: Manual Entry MOS Calculator for Microsoft Excel (Windows)

Justin,

I wanted to check and see if the new Investools website is compatible with Excel version XP. I know the old website used to work with Excel and hope that the new one does also.

Yours truly,

DG

Does anyone have any experience with the excel spread sheet download at RULE1NUMBERS.COM? I'm just playing with the spread sheet set ups and came across it during a google search for more rule one stuff. Interested in some input.
