Share Builder

For those without the money to get started is Sharebuilder a good idea? Anyone with pros and cons?

Re: Share Builder

Yes. I would only consider if you are going to buy & hold. The low trade fees are only on Tue.

They charged me $50.00 to roll my Roth from Share Builder back to Scottrade where I will be staying.

Make sure you are comfortable with their tools! Research all of their fees. Please know everything prior to jumping in on that $4.00 per trade "bait".

SB will be trying to upgrade you all the time, if you are on the basic plan.

For a M. fund or ETF that you plan to dollar cost average, I think they will be fine, if you can invest on Tue. Otherwise a full turn (buy-sell) is approx. $36.00 which is terrible, especially for the small investor.

Just one student's opinion. Best of investing to you!
