Dr. Steve Sjuggerud
Hi,
I know he is not a "Rule #1" investor, but Ive been coming across alot of information regarding Dr. Steve Sjuggerud, and the investment opportunities he claims to have, as well as his 'True Wealth' and other newsletters that you can pay to subscribe to.... Im just wondering if anyone here has had any experience with Dr. Sjuggerud and/or any of his investment opportunities.... Is he just another Joe Schmoe trying to get peoples money?

Re: Dr. Steve Sjuggerud
I tried his newsletter for a few years. --My advice? Don't waste your time or your money. Hit or miss is right. You'll be LUCKY if you break even! In fact, ALL of the authors & publications of Agora Publishing (see http://www.agora-inc.com/international.htm) in Baltimore, MD are WORTHLESS. I tried 2 of its other newsletters (by Porter Stansberry and James Boric) and lost money. With Steve Sjuggerud, I'm not sure if I barely broke even or not, but my annual return was sure low! None of the Agora newsletters are rated by Hulbert's Financial Digest as far as I know. [Hulbert's ranks the NoLoad Fund*X newsletter highly, and I've made great success (over 28% average annual return) over the last two years using it.]

Re: Dr. Steve Sjuggerud
I agree with the writer the publications of Agora Publishing based in Baltimore are not the best. I did subscribe to something by a Steenie Harvey she had most of her facts wrong. the investment advice is only making Kathleen Peddicord and Leif Ericson wealthy. Not much luck with their stuff,

Re: Dr. Steve Sjuggerud
Nice job everyone.
Please don't buy the tout sheets when you walk into the track either! They all had 9 out of 10 winners yesterday. It is the same scam in the investment market. But, because you are "investing" it is accepted. My feeling is you cannot put lipstick on a pig to make it look any better. It is still a pig. Simple. Do your own work! |

Re: Dr. Steve Sjuggerud
These newsletters are just another way of filtering out some shares to take a closer look at. I am sure even Dr. Steve doesnt expect you to rush out and buy anything he suggests without proper investigation and due diligence.
I once received a long rambling email about "the biggest foreign invested gold mine in China" that would double its share price over a year, and if I bought the USD1000 "The Gold Standard (forget the name)" subscription, I would find out the name of the mine. There was enough info in the mail to identify the mine without buying the subscription, whose shares have doubled in value in the year since I received the mail. So there is at least one success story - I wonder if the subscription lists other share price doubling gold mines?? |

Re: Dr. Steve Sjuggerud
An update to my previous post: Using NoLoad Fund*X (Welcome to NoLoad Fund*X), my average annual return over 2.2 years is 42%. I'm invested in some of their riskiest (Class 1) funds, but those are much less risky than Sjuggerud's recommendations.
