Red face Tools (such as Investools & etc)

Can anyone recommend me a great tools I can use or purchase? Many of our members seem to have Investools. But for a beginner like me, it just costs way too much ($2,000 for initial sign up and $300 every six months thereafter). Maybe I can do with $300 every six months, but initial $2,000 is a bit of a large commitment).

Does any of you know of reasonably priced tools that can help with screening rule #1 stocks and other helpful stuffs?

Do we have any thread that shows the comparison among paid tools?

Thanks in advance,

Phil

I feel this forum with its MOS calculators, opinions, company research, and knowledge shared by its members is the end all reasonably priced (free) tool to help screen rule 1 stocks.

Do not even bother , most of the "tools" can be found online for free. Ask on the forum or feel free to message me and someone will point you to free websites.

Sure I do not know what exactly your looking for but some helpful websites for doing you rule one homework are as follows...

For charts best of breed by far is
StockCharts.com - Simply the Web's Best Stock Charts
its really easy to change the settings to the one's you want

For the 3 arrows:
you can use StockCharts.com - Simply the Web's Best Stock Charts

For a company's financial statements and other financial data
Morningstar: Stocks, Mutual Funds, and Investing
type in a stock
on the left menu you will see....
Financial Statements: Self Explanotory (free cash flow is at bottom of Cash Flows)
Key Ratios:10 years of ROE ,ROA

SEC Filings: 10-K's n 10-Q's

For Industires go to:
BigCharts - Charting a World of Investment Information
or
Industry Center Performance information for over 210 industries - Yahoo! Finance

Hope this helps :)

MSN Power Search. Run a search on this site. Plug in the numbers. I guarantee you'll get a bunch of contenders. Phil outlined the set up on his site also!
