Bal.sheet - treasury shares
Hiya,
I am a German investor and Im quite unfamiliar with certain accounting issues regarding US GAAP. Ive run over Moodys and Ive found they repurchased a lot of stock so that they have negative equity in their balance sheet. Now I dont know how to deal with this regarding ROE and other important ratios. I thought of just switching the treasury stock to an asset position which sounds logical to me since it can be sold on the stock market (if thats possible by US law - is it?) Does anybody how to correctly solve this issue? Thanks alot
