Hey Johnisgitt,

I don't have Investools. I use the tools on a site, ClearStation : Welcome to ClearStation!.

I don't actually pay tooo much attention to the tools. I do look at them to make sure there's no meltdown. The one that I find to be the most telling is the MA. I like to look at 10 day, 20 day, 30 day, 50 day, and 200 day.

Hope this helps.

Re: Apollo (APOL)

Hey guys,
I was taking a look at APOL and I see the current P/E is about 20, the 5 yr high is 108 w/ the 5yr low at 14. I was trying to decide what the appropriate future PE I should use? I think I would normally use about 40 but based on ALL APOL #'s falling over the past 9yrs, I'm not sure I should use a future PE of 40?
Should it be more like 26 for the future estimated PE?
Thanks for the feedback in advance.

Re: Apollo (APOL)

Here is my opinion on APOL. EPS no problem 2.42. ROIC? Great! 55.9 & 37.4.
PE ratio ave. 108.7 & 13.6= 61.15. To high. Expert Earnings growth 5 yr. 13.00 thats better. Historical PE 43.7 10 Yr.

Trouble? Yes with Equity (usually your best number) I do not like any negs. There are several. Not Good! When I see neg. Equity or ROIC, toss and move on.

I ran the numbers EPS 2.42. E-1 Growth 13.00, Default PE 26. Sticker 52.76, MOS 26.38. Currently overpriced @ 46.96. Not a dollar for .50. Just my opinion. Neg. Equity is a deal breaker for me, plus the current chart/tools.

Re: Apollo (APOL)

Thanks Gunnski,
I agree with you, it's not an investment for me at this time. I was just running through the #'s and wanted a second opinion on what to use for the future PE.
Thanks for the viewpoint.

Re: Apollo (APOL)

I don't think APOL is a Rule #1 Company anymore. There are just too many reds with Equity.

Hey, JKrue...would you be willing to share your excel spreadsheet formulas? I would like to have something like you have some that I could input some information. Do you have it set so that it is automatically RED with values that aren't so good?
