Hi everyone I'm new here and am have been studying The #1 Rule very intently for the past couple months.

I see a couple problem areas with ASVI. One is that EPS growth had some pretty serious hiccups back in 1999 and 2001. The other is the cash flow growth. It is anemic at best and comes no where near the 10% growth rate required. Am I misinterpreting something here?

I do know we shouldn't be using MSN for cash flow. Phil has said this in his blog. I use Morningstar and it is accurate as it takes out capital expenditures.

I'm not being critical... please show me the error in my ways.

Chuck

I agree about those shakey Cash Flow numbers but looks like they are back on track now.

But a lot of the number look good to me on ASVI ..especially that MOS !

I am not an expert on this subject - If you google ASVI, there is an interesting article on insider trading.

Can anyone answer - Why do Insiders Buy Depressed Stocks like ASVI ?

Thanks, Steve

CEO said they are going to be buying it because they feel it's undervalued.

Mgt Buying

I always see it as a positive sign when mgt takes some of their hard earned money and invests in their company.

ASVI is a bargin at these prices. They have a good MOS, strong mgt though I am not an expert in their business area and it appears they have a moat on their products given their unique design.

I would recommend that if you are considering buying you get an investor package from them (sign up on their website) as it has lots of valuable information on the company and in addition comes with a DVD (for those to lazy to read)

I don't use investools, but using the charts on MSN, now may not be the best time to buy according to MACD. It's been in an upward trend since early June and MACD peaks look like they are starting to bounce a little.

Hi, I use Stockcharts.com and I love it! I got three buy signals awhile ago, even using the 30 day MA. I don't know how long its been, at least a week. Its still under MOS and still looks like a buy to me.

Greeny, it went 3 green arrows the middle of June.

You may want to check your moving average. Do you have it set on 30 day?
