I was a little more conservative than you in my analysis. I'm assuming a forward PE of 16, which is a 5-year average including the current PE of 10. Using a future EPS of 6.47, which is close to your number, I get future value $103.57, sticker of $25.60, MOS of $12.80.

This looks to me like a risky biz at best, though, because they've only been making a profit since 2003.

FYI

OmniVision Technologies, Inc. (OmniVision) designs, develops and markets high-performance, highly integrated and cost-efficient semiconductor image sensor devices. The Company's main products, image-sensing devices referred to as CameraChip image sensors, capture images electronically and are used in a number of consumer and commercial mass-market products. CameraChips image sensors use the complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) fabrication process. CameraChip image sensors are predominantly single-chip CMOS solutions that integrate a number of distinct functions, including image capturing, image processing, color processing and signal conversion and create fully processed images or video streams. The resulting image or video stream can be displayed either on digital equipment, such as a computer, or on analog equipment, such as a television.

Hello Rule One Forum Members

Hi. Like the collective "you", I too have read the book and found the concepts great. I actually stumbled upon this site as I was looking for a way to evaluate banks. Banks, it seems, don't have ROIC's. So, I'm looking for a similar concept to evaluate them. Any ideas???

Welcome!

Any reason why you're particularly interested in banks? I really don't know how much of a MOAT banks can build up.

Hello North and welcome to the community!

Any particular reason you've found interest in banking? Like krypticide mentioned, banks have an awful hard time building up any kind of durable competitive advantage. I'm interested to hear your opinion on this.

See you on the boards!

Cool Aloha from Maui!

I found out about this forum from a student on the Investools Online Course which I recently started. Anyone using Investools along with Rule 1? Would love to hear your "best advice" for a newbie to investing. Mahalo!

Thumbs up 1941golf

Greetings from SC. Ready to retire and needs lots of Rule #1 help. I've read Phil's book 2 times, but found only 4 Yummy companies so far. Getting a bit impatient but willing to follow rule one. With mkt at all time high, are there any oppot. avail. now?

TONS!

Poke around our Homework Examples Forum. You'll find about 80 or 90 good potential investments with ongoing discussions for each.

Welcome!
