Hello Greenbucks and welcome to our Community! Thanks for the kind words and encouragement. I'd like to mention that this forum would be nothing without its contributing members and the outstanding efforts by the Margin of Safety Calculator Developers. These individuals selflessly volunteer countless hours of troubleshooting and improvement on our Automatic MOS Calculators. A big thanks to the following members:

Hello anova and welcome to our Community. My personal experience with InvesTools is that it is absolutely top notch in terms of getting the data you need quickly and easily. Well worth the 1000$ annually.. but now we've got these awesome spreadsheets that do such an outstanding job of retrieving the data we need from free sources - it's causing me to rethink my position on whether InvesTools is right for me.

My subscription comes up for renewal in a few months - I don't currenty plan on renewing simply because for a Rule One Investor, it's simply not necessary. Perhaps some day in the future when I start dabbling in more aggressive techniques, InvesTools will rank higher on the priority. Hope that gives some extra insight on InvesTools and how it fits into my personal scheme of things. See you on the boards!

Well, the investools thing...I prolly won't do. I think we can find a way to fix the problem I saw today which annoyed me at first, but then I have made a suggestion (Pat was able to duplcate the problem) to fix it...I'll wait and see what Pat says.

Kinda nice though when I looked up GOOG it gave me a price below $10. Cool but scary.

Welcome! Have you read Rule #1? That's the investing "philosophy" that this board centers around.

Trading: remember, own businesses, don't trade stocks.
Investools: figure out the price of Investools as a percentage of your base (your initial investing money), and remember that you have to deduct that out of your gains. Also, are you experienced enough to need these extras? Rule #1a: Don't waste money.
Phil's book: it is not the Investing Bible. Believe it because it makes sense, and otherwise modify it to fit your reasoning and skills. 8-17-9 and 14-5 are not Golden Ratios.
