Hi Patsy (aka Bajabnd),

I am also 53 and my wife and I are hoping to also retire in a few years. We have been saving the max each our corporation 401K. My wife also just started saving the max in a Traditional IRA last year. We have that money in broker THINKORSWIM. And we now actively trade stocks and options from that IRA account. Our 401k is where 90+% of our money is at right now. That is our "retirement" account. And by the way, those stock funds have been doing real nice last few months probably just like your 401ks

Anyway, our little IRA is our mad money "trading" account where we are starting to trade per Phil and Investools theories. Probably same as you but we can't actively trade from our 401k but we are having a blast with our IRA. We recently caught the growth in URBN and CISCO and were able to move up our stops Friday to hopefully lock in some profits while we let these winners run. Thanks, Steve

New Hamphire Newbie

Hello Folks,

I've been toying with investing for a while and have made a little dough (Unfortunately sold AKAM WAY WAY TOO SOON) but Phil's book has really given me hope that some day I'll understand what the next winner will be. I do have a couple of questions tho'.

Foremost - Justin, I guess this is your baby, This site is awesome! Great info and help and this is the only place on the internet with no pumpers and dumpers -Soooooooooo refreshing. And thanks to all the folks who've built the calculators. - I can't wait to put them into action.

First, almost done with Phil's book but don't know how he went from 1,000 to 1,000,000 in 5 years? Is that later is in the book?

Secondly, what or where do I find the signals greens and reds - investools?! Don't have the $ to invest in 'em right now what are some good substitutes.

Has someone, put out a workbook, boiling down the steps into bite sized actions. (I'm really not that lazy, but I'm very unorganized) I'd just like to see what some one smarter and more informed than I has done.

Thanks to everyone and I'm not really a big a dork as my questions seem - just like to know stuff.

Keep up the good work,

John
