Thanks for all your help gentlemen. I know I should be doing this with pencil and paper first but I'm excited to get started.

Another Newbie

Hi; I'm new to this forum. I've enjoyed reading, and re-reading Phil's book. I've also recently read the Little Book that Beats the Market. I saw a mention about "marrying" the two processes. Has this been pursued by anyone? At any rate, I'm looking forward to reading the many posts on this site.

Don in San Antonio, TX

Newbie # ?

Hello, I also am new to this forum but have been lurking for some time since discovering it after reading Phil's book and searching for more info. His approach makes sence to me compared to my previous "shoot from the hip" method.
I'm amazed at the intelect that has been contributed to develope the calculators. Since I know very little about computers and even less about excel and absolutely nothing about macros it was scary for me to download the 3.02 version and disable macros (what ever they are) with the virus warning going off. I did it however, and so far it is working great.
A big thanks to you all.
Duke

Hello

Hi everyone. I am new here and to investing. Learned about the Rule 1 concept at one of the seminars and have read the book. Still learning all I can about this investment strategy. I have been practicing trading since Sept 6th and have done quite well. Now I have set up a brokerage account at TradeKing ($4.95 trades). I am testing my education with a $1000 position in Intel.

I most appreciate the spreadsheet I was able to download from your site....very nice work. I am an analyst with a lot of spreadsheet experience so the compliment comes from someone with years of spreadsheet background.

I will certainly use the collective wisdom found here to guide my course through the learning curve.

Hudman
