Re: Great site!!

The spreadsheet is down because MSN is changing the format of their website making it difficult to get the correct numbers. Justin is working on a new excel worksheet.

Great band!

Try doing the numbers by hand using Phil's website calculators. In the R-1 book Pgs. 148-171 layout the quickest way to crank out the numbers. Do a few & it comes real quick. You get a lot better feel for a business than just looking at a spreadsheet, that may or may not have the correct numbers.

Exclamation Need numbers!

Hi, new to this site, 30+ years investing in stocks.

I'm trying to track down some historical data on the DJIA. This sounds easy but I'm having a devil of a time. Here's what I'm looking for:

Year - DJIA - Dividend

I know this sounds easy but I can't find data going back to 5/26/1896

I just need end the end of year DJIA (which I already have) but I'm trying to get the Dividend paid for the year, either as a dollar amount or percentage.

If anyone can give me a link you will save this investor a lot of time.

Or, if an index representing both the DJIA closing value and the dividend has been created I'll take that too.

Thanks,

Perry
