HI everybody.
I just started to read Phil's book not long ago and found it interesting. His concepts are totally making sense to me. What I need to now is practise it and see if it works.

Hope you guys can share some of your experience applying rule#1. give me some guidance and confident how great Rule#1 is and what to watch out for when applying Rule#1.

Re: Newbie

Hello everyone. I work in the Finance/Accounting industry and am new to "Rule #1" investing. I first listened to the audio book (obtained from the library) during my commute and then purchased the book the next day.

I made my first "Rule #1" investment within 1-2 weeks after reading the book and netted a 20% return within the first month...wow. I have since sold my shares and am waiting for the "buy" signals that will proceed the next run up.

I am excited about finding your site and hope to become a regular.

GREAT! It is indeed nice to read of success in the real world. Would you care to share which stock ,when you bought, the price paid and then we too can follow it. Not interested in the total shares just the price and your analysis.

Finance Industry....Does what you read from phil towns book conflict with the rules of the finance industry?

New Member Here..Looking for excel template

Hello everyone. New member here. Just wanted to introduce myself and say hi. I look forward to contributing to the research/information shared on this site and know I will learn from everyone. I have enjoyed reading the threads and posts over the past couple days and it seems like everyone has good information to contribute. I have seen some really cool excel spreadsheets in browsing the website and was wondering if anyone could help me out with finding a template of one of these to use in my own research. Thanks.

Re: New Member Here..Looking for excel template

Hi;

You can find the excel spreadsheet by going to the download tab at the top of the home page. You have a manual version and an automatic version. I downloaded it and am wondering if there are any security issues with accepting the macros? Does anyone know? Thanks.
