Hello gang! I've enjoyed reading through forum posts and look forward to learning how to apply Rule One thinking. I'm new to all this and appreciate those who kindly take the time to explain concepts.

Here is the info that you requested.

I purchased VMSI (Ventana Medical Systems) on 3/28/07 for about $41/share. Sold on 5/7/07 for $51/share. Looking to jump back in any day now :-).

Growth Rate: 24%, Current EPS ('06) .87, Est PE in 10 years 48, Future EPS $7.48, Future Stock Price $359, Sticker Price $88, MOS $44.

The numbers have changed a bit since I looked at it in March but they are in the ball park. Feedback?

Not at all. I like the company valuation method that the Rule #1 book champions. One of the companies that I had on my watch list is being bought out. Funny enough, the purchase price was within $2 of my calculated sticker price. Somebody else was apparently using valuation numbers similar to the ones that I was using.

How did you choose your PE? I am trying to figure out how to print my screen here. If it works, this is what I got for numbers.

Wow what version of excel do you have. Choose the Conservative PE in the bunch.
