Hello folks. I finished listening to Phil's book on CD and then read the book a little over a month ago and am very intrigued. I traded stocks for a couple years and didn't do so well and got completely out about 6 years ago. Now I'm interested in getting back in and was happy to stumble over this web site. Looks like a nice group of folks with a common interest in investing and especially in Rule #1 investing. Anyhow, hello from Alaska!

Hi everyone,
I'm Sanjay from Mumbai, India. I've been a fan of Phil Town's Rule#1 book and am now onto reading Intelligent Investor by Ben Graham. I've been looking for free reliable sources of company data in India. Infact I've started on creating a Margin of Safety Calculator in Excel using data from an Indian site. If anybody has any suggestions of a free reliable source of company data please reply to this post. If anyone is from India and is already investing in the Indian market using Phil's philosophy would love to touch base. Regards, Sanjay Shetty |

Re: Reliable data sources in India for ROIC calculations
Welcome Sanjay,
The stock I love in India is HSDC Bank. They numbers have been consistent and I had an MOS in the low 70's. My play is on the average Indian citizen needing banking services. What do you think? |

Re: Phil Town - Question on bio
What he said and continues to say is that 15% is the minimum return to expect as a rule# 1 investor. With enough perfect practice and guidance returns can soar thereby compounding the effect and shortening the time it takes to get from 1&3 zeros to 1&6 zeros.
