Build A Bear- Right time to buy?

Has anyone noticed what Mr. Market is doing to Build A Bear (BBW) right now? Currently the price has plummeted from $30-$23 on Friday! Apparently this had to do with the company introducing some Shrek products that are mostly marketed to boys & not girls which scared off investors.

I realize that BBW is not quite a Rule #1 company and fits into the "Risky Biz" category. Furthermore, this discussion is outside of rule #1 investing but I love BBW, my kids do and so does every kid I know. There is nothing else like it that I know of and I find it impossible that his company doesn't continue strong growth.

Anyway, I guess my thought was: "what goes up must come down...." you know the rest. Any thoughts?

I agree this is definitely an overreaction but You never want to jump ontop of a raging bear. Let this situation sort itself out, as the stock will need to establish a new trading range, and let some time pass. The good thing is this loss will eventual present a buy in price, however with revisions down in Earnings, we'll need to see the next quarters actual number to get a TTM and establish a new MOS and valuation.

If you're comfortable with a short term spike in price in high volatility, open a market order and pray for 5-10% by Wednesday. Otherwise, if you're cautious, check back after its next quarter reporting and see if it still is a buy position. Then wait for signals.

Great Advice! I'm glad you brought that up. Is there a way to find out when the reports are release by companies? I noticed that my brokerage had a First Call Earnings report with todays date... what is that?
