Rupurt Murdoch has acquired the WSJ
It's official folks.... Rupurt Murdoch has acquired the Dow Jones, publisher of the Wall Street Journal, in a deal worth over $5.6 billion.
Read more about the deal here: BBC NEWS | Business | Murdoch wins fight for Dow Jones
Consider the implications -- "If Murdoch gets control of the Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones and if he follows the pattern of his past acquisitions, he will use the Wall Street Journal to serve his own purposes, financial and political.
Every media property Murdoch has owned has been put to his political purposes, as is demonstrated by how he uses the Fox networks to project right-wing politics [into] news and commentary and to cheapen the national culture."
