MSNStockQuote.Functions.MSNStockQuote is needed?

I downloaded the worksheet but it appears that "MSNStockQuote.Functions.MSNStockQuote" is needed for the calculations?

Yes, I used the excel 2002/2003 ad in to get the quotes. Hopefully you have this version because this ad in is easy. If you don't pass the genuine Microsoft Office test, don't worry, it still lets you download anyway. You can find it at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en.

Here is the description from Microsoft:

Excel 2003/2002 Add-in: MSN Money Stock Quotes
Brief Description
This add-in for Microsoft Office Excel 2003 and Microsoft Excel 2002 allows you to get dynamic stock quotes from the MSN Money Web site. The add-in allows you to easily gather and study the stocks of interest to you.

I don't think any of the fundementals have changed. It still has good numbers, moat, management, and right now the green arrows are all turning positive. Its current price is way below MOS no matter how you calculate it. With the most conservative numbers I got an MOS of 28. With more historically accurate numbers, I got and MOS of about 35.
I'm with you on this one...I'm watching it like a hawk! I'm impressed with the management, and moat. Its a strong company, and the growth rates continue to be excellent. Ultimately we have to stand on our own two feet, and I feel confident with this one. But also, I think if there were too many red flags, Phil wouldn't have responded so positively on his blog.

ASVI

I have been paper trading ASVI as well.

I bought 165 shares at around 18.18 per share last week.

According to MSN, they have a good return on capital. This is the number I've been looking at and if I remember correctly, according to Phil, this is the same as ROIC.

So has anyone been able to answer why one websites numbers may be vastly different than another?

This has me a little concerned.

Watching LCAV as possible Rule #1

I have been watching LCAV and just purchased some shares recently. The numbers seem to fit many Rule #1 requirements;

Sales 46.20%
Sales 5 yr avg 25.28
ROC 23
ROC 5 yr 10.8
Free cash flow 5 yr 21
I had calculated MOS at 49
Price was at mid 50's for awhile but late last week came down to around 45.

Just offering as a possibility for all to check out for themselves.

Concerning LCAV: While most of the big five are currently "acceptable", it should be noted that they are all declining from past values. EPS and ROIC are very erratic, therefore unpredictable. I couldnt find a historical PE for MOS calculation so I just entered the default PE for the sake of calculation. Even by cutting this corner, I get a mos of around $33, and its currently trading at $47. I'd stay away from this one.
