1 that deserves further study this week - HLX - just from a TA point of view

HLX sector rotated downward on Prophet.net from 10 -> 198 ; probably not good ! Risk/Reward: curr price = 32 .Negative cash flow
MOS varies - a lot - from 30 - 102.. but several insider purchases.
Prob not Rule #1 - but I'm going to watch it anyway


SYK came up 3 greens - but risk to return not good . this had come up on one of my scans and I am just watching it for TA sake .
SYK sector just rotated up to 86 from 185 - up 99
Current price = 52 MOS = 38
SYK won't survive on my list ; just want to see how it does because of it's recent 3 greens

stumbled on EPS ; but if we're watching for a takeover might not really matter. it also trades below the S&P historically . it will be fun to watch and see what it's volume does this week

but you probably know Phil would rate this as risky biz right ??


thing is - I am really looking to buy here. Friday's retail was apparently fabulous -so by all guesses we'll be off to the races next week . although - there was that pesky VIX - which really went up . sooooo- as usual - who knows. but it's going to be fun !

I want something worthy !!!!

I found three that went 3 green the same day all within the past two weeks...KBH, CRR, and HOV. All are up since that day.

I got into HOV the first day it went 3 Gs - I believe Gunnski did too

this pretty much seals the deal for me :

Helix Energy Solutions Group Inc. Receives LOI For Reliance Project In India

October 31, 2006 Helix Energy Solutions Group, Inc. announced that it has executed a letter of intent with Allseas Marine Contractors S.A. for the installation of the subsea infrastructure in connection with Allseas' engineering, procurement, installation and construction of Reliance Industries Ltd.'s Dhirubhai gas field development project in the Krishna Godavari Basin in the Bay of Bengal. Helix plans to use its deepwater construction vessel 'Express' and its dive support vessel 'Eclipse' on this project. The work consists of the installation suction piles, manifolds, rigid jumpers and spool pieces, flying leads and trees. The work is scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter of 2007. The estimated contract value is in the $140-150 million range and the vessel utilization exceeds 400 days.


I have wanted to be in Reliance in the worst way ! this looks like a great way to participate

on the one hand , I am thinking too far gone... OTOH - it never got any signals to get out - therefore I got out prematurely ... therefore I shouldn't have to wait for new signals. but - dang - you know it is tuff for me to stay in when it was up >10% if just a few days ... what to do, what to do....


or maybe I should just move on and play with HLX if all goes to plan tomorrow ............

I try to follow the R-1 rules as described in the book. I would suggest waiting on FMD. The train left the station & it is not a good idea to invest when the rally is well into its glory. Put it on your Watch List and wait for it again.

Much better to focus HLX at the moment.
