Re: Current Rule 1 Worthy Scan Results

Is WIRE worth a look?

ROIC grwth: 5 yr=19%, 1 yr=27%
Equity grwth: 9=19%, 5=26%, 3=38%, 1=55%

EPS & Sales grwth rates on the up-and-up.

Current price= $29.45
MOS= $45.88 with a P/E=15
Drop P/E to 10 and still get an MOS=$31.27

Re: Current Rule 1 Worthy Scan Results

I like WIRE. I struggle with weather it has a strong enough Moat though. However, in addition to the attractive price, it has ten years of nice growth numbers.

Re: Current Rule 1 Worthy Scan Results

Hi,
Im still quite new to all this investing! ive ran the autocalc on WIRE and the MOS price, rule #1 growth rate, rule #1 PE, and default P/E figures are all '0'. i know there must be a missing figure or two so Excel can perform its calculations, but not sure what to put where!? Can anyone help me see the light??

Re: Current Rule 1 Worthy Scan Results

I am not familiar with WIRE and have done little research about it, a quick glance at it shows it produces commercial and residential electrical wires.

With the recent housing crunch builders are building less homes and values in many previous "hot" areas are starting to sink are people going to put money into these houses?

Just some things to consider as sometimes looking past the numbers and getting an "outsiders" opinion can help. I know sometimes I put blinders on when I find a new stock.

Doubled EPS 3 times, doubled EPS two times and doubled sales two times in 10 years, and has a good equity (20%). Also this company operates in North America, Europe, Asia, and South America.

I tried to check the insider trading. But I cannot understand the form that is on C H ROBINSON WORLDWIDE INC files SEC Form 4 - 11/1/2007 2:12:48 PM - SECFilings.com
Can anyone help please???

Hey Maverick:

I looked into PETS earlier. This one is a no-go for me.... I don't remember the details, but it was something about the management that left me feeling real uneasy. Then, when I noted all the insider trading, that sealed it for me.

Just somebody exercising their stock options. You can't really conclude anything about a business from options exercises or sales. Many insiders have most of their net worth in a company. If they want to buy a house or something, they have no choice but to sell some stock. Buys, now they are interesting.

Re: Current Rule 1 Worthy Scan Results

I never did see this list but would be willing to do some analysis on them if I could get it. Anyone seen it?

Thanks,
